CHANGI BOARDWALK - 26 Jan 2011

26th Jan was my first walk and talk outing with the kakis for year 2011.  We had arranged to meet at the Changi Village bus terminal for breakfast. No thanks to a wrong choice of  transport, I was nominated as "B Chairman" for the  day. Unenviable title, but I was not alone. David and Michael were equally trapped in that crawling bus.

We started the walk at around 0930. The trek is quite similar to the Southern Ridges. Plants, trees, vegetation etc. However, after walking for about a kilometre, we reached a dead end. No through road. Some one told us the place was taken  over by the SAF. So we did an about turn. Not  bad lah....enjoying the sun, the sea, the stones.....and the songs. Why songs ?  See the clips below.

Then it was lunch time. Well almost. Anyway it was food for talks as usual, and this time at a coffee shop in Changi Village. Of  course stout and  beer were ordered, as these were as necessary as chicken and fish. By noon time, the eating was done and time to think of what to do next.  "TOTO!", somebody screamed. Why not ? So we pooled money and attempted the impossible. Well it is better to try and fail than fail to try. Five Million dollars is a lot of money.

Nice place Changi. Next destination  - a  little bit further, Pulau Ubin.

Enjoy the clips.
